The Gathering is committed to complying with The Alberta Government’s health measures relating to COVID-19. As we get closer to the event, the following guidelines will be updated as official government recommendations and COVID-19 restrictions change. All mentioned processes and protocols are subject to change and remain outside the hands of the organizers.
Policy as of April 1st, 2022
In keeping with the Alberta rules and regulations currently in place, anyone who is feeling unwell or experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms should stay home and avoid contact with others.
Covid rapid testing will be available onsite at The Gathering, for peace of mind, as well as a complimentary onsite testing service for travel documentation for your return home. A negative rapid antigen test administered within 24 hours of a flight departure time is required for return to the United States.
If you are traveling internationally to Canada to attend The Gathering, as of April 1st 2022, entry testing requirements for fully vaccinated travellers have been lifted. International travellers are required to download the ArriveCan mobile app and submit your travel plans. For more information on Canadian travel rules, CLICK HERE.
If anyone at The Gathering happens to test positive for COVID-19, or have symptoms, you are legally required to isolate as outlined below:
We recommend that all Gatherers attending onsite in Banff have a suitable quarantine plan in place in case of onset of symptoms and/or positive COVID-19 test. The Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel will work with any of our guests to help them book a room if isolation is needed (at the guest’s expense).
We are proud to announce Switch Health as the Official Testing Partner of The Gathering Summit 2022.
Switch Health will have an onsite Testing Hub, and can help all Gatherers with their travel testing needs, and will ensure a safe environment, providing assistance to anyone who feels symptoms developing.
Information for International/U.S. Travellers
If you have a return flight to the U.S. or another international country, complimentary COVID-19 tests will be available at The Gathering, proudly provided by our Official Testing Partner, Switch Health.
What to expect in terms of COVID-19 protocols and safety onsite
The Gathering will be limited to an intimate audience this year, to ensure that spaces are not overcrowded and safe attendee flow can be observed.
Complimentary COVID-19 tests, courtesy of our Official Testing Partner, Switch Health, will also be provided for anyone onsite who starts developing symptoms. If you start developing symptoms while at the event, please let an event staff know. We recommend that all Gatherers have an isolation plan in place, in case of positive test result.
